Baruch Lev is the Philip Bardes Professor of Accounting and Finance at New York University Stern School of Business. He was formerly at the University of Chicago, Tel Aviv University (where he was dean of the business school), and the University of California, Berkeley (holding a joint appointment at the business and law schools). Lev's research deals with the use of corporate financial information in valuation and security analysis, the valuation and measurement of intangible (intellectual) assets, corporate governance, and investor relations - the optimal engagement of investors by corporate managers. Lev's authored five books and over a hundred research papers (see CV). Lev's practical experience spans public accounting (auditing), investment banking, board membership, and extensive consulting. He lectures widely abroad to managers, investors, policymakers, and Ph.D. students.
