I am an assistant professor in the Operations Management group of the Department of Information, Operations, and Management Sciences at New York University's Stern School of business, where I joined in 2011.

My research primarily focuses on the methodologies of optimization and their applications in business analytics. In particular, I am interested in bringing the concepts and ideas of mathematical programming, combinatorial optimization, online optimization, and stochastic optimization to provide better understanding and more efficient solutions for challenges in areas such as online advertising, matching and search markets, inventory optimization, and revenue management.

I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University in 2010. Before that, I received my undergraduate degree from the Computer Engineering department of Sharif University of Technology in 2005.
