Mission Statement The Actuarial Society expands public awareness about the actuarial science profession and major to potential candidates throughout NYU. The society aims at networking and creating long lasting relationships with companies and alumni. The Society informs and prepares the members beyond what the curriculum can do. Sunday, February 3, 2008 The Spring 2008 kick-off meeting of the Actuarial Society will be on Monday, February 4 during Common Hour (12:30PM-1:45PM). Drop by for a presentation by the Eboard to find out the events that will be offered this semester including company presentations, guest speakers, social events, and an alumni panel. Come and talk to the e-board and other members of the club. :) Also, the Eboard will be accepting applications for secretary until February 8, 2008. If you would like to be a part of the Eboard, please fill out the executive officer application and either give it to an Eboard member or email it to actrlsoc@stern.nyu.edu. -Webmaster

Drop by for a presentation by Milliman actuarial consultants and learn what actuarial science is and what an actuary does. Come and meet the e-board and other members of the club. :) And if you are planning to take and actuarial exam in November/December, sign up soon. Monday, August 6, 2007 Summer is almost over (*gasp*).... so I would like to welcome you to the newly renovated website for the Actuarial Society at the Stern School of Business at NYU. Go ahead and look around the website to learn more about our club, the actuary profession, and the actuarial science major offered here at NYU Stern. We'll let you know when the first meeting is coming up... and for all you freshmen (and also upperclassmen), you can meet the e-board at the ICC Stern Club Fair on August 27 (Monday).
