Data NotesÉ

To get riskfree rates, try all the financial news sites, including Bloombger, CNNfn or the Financial Times. The Financial Times contains the most in-depth international market information.

If you are interested in reading more about risk premiums, try the readings online (check under the class website and readings). Most of the readings are fairly short and easily readable. There are also several books on equity risk premiums. My favorite is titled ÒThe Triumph of the OptimistsÓ and is written by Elroy Dimson et al.

You can also check out historical implied equity risk premiums or compute them yourself on my site.

Miscellaneous FAQs

What will this quiz cover?

It will cover the first four chapters (most of chapter 4) of the book and everything in the lecture notes through October 10. It is scheduled for October 15.

How can I best prepare for the quiz?

Work through as many problems as you can. The less of a quantitative background you have, the more important it becomes that you do this.
