Every spring break the JBA leads over a hundred students on a cross-country tour of Japan.
Filled with behind-the-scenes glimpses into the nation's leading institutions, the ambitious schedule includes countless once-in-a-lifetime experiences for both newcomers and seasoned visitors.
Past activities have included:
- Sumo tournaments
- Tours of a Toyota auto plant
- Mt. Fuji hikes
- Visits to Kyoto's famed temples
- Volcanic hot spring baths
- Geisha makeovers
- Shopping at Tsukiji fish market
- Karaoke on the Sumida dinner cruise
- Interactive panels with Merrill Lynch, the Bank of Japan
- Engineering demonstrations with Sony
- Traditional Japanese pottery
- Networking with alumni and other executives
plus whirlwind day/night tours of Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. The trip is a must for any Stern student interested in exploring Japan's influence on global business and culture.
The Spring 2007 Trek was covered by the national Japanese press, including a special indepth feature on

a TV Tokyo program which has served as one of Japan's key business shows for the last twenty years.
