This directory contains S/Splus system files representing the aggregated data sets analyzed in the book "A Casebook for a First Course in Statistics and Data Analysis," by Samprit Chatterjee, Mark S. Handcock and Jeffrey S. Simonoff, John Wiley and Sons, New York, 1995.

The files are presented in a number of different formats. Choose the particular format most appriopriate for your system.

  1. all.dmp -- Splus/Unix data.dump'ed
  2. all.dmp.Z -- Unix/compress'ed version of (1)
  3. all.src -- Splus/dump version (must be sourced; OS independent)
  4. allwin.dmp -- Splus/Windows (v3.2) data.dump'ed
  5. allwin.zip -- PKZIP version of (4)
