Kim Schoenholtz

Kim Schoenholtz is the Henry Kaufman Professor of the History of Financial Institutions and Markets in the Economics Department of NYU Stern and teaches courses on money and banking and on macroeconomics. Previously, Schoenholtz served as Citigroup's global chief economist from 1997 until 2005. Schoenholtz was named in 2015 as a member of the Financial Research Advisory Committee of the U.S. Treasury's Office of Financial Research. He also is a panel member of the U.S. Monetary Policy Forum and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.



NYU Stern Center for Global Economy and Business

Professor Schoenholtz directs the NYU Stern Center for Global Economy and Business, which promotes faculty research focusing on global aspects of modern economies and business. The Center also encourages faculty development in various areas of special interest to the University, as well as outreach to the broader community of policymakers, market professionals, alumni and students.
