About The Marketing Mix

The Marketing Mix is an intercollegiate forum on advertising, brand management, and market research (among other marketing topics)!

We want to bring 100 students from different undergraduate business programs together for an interactive day dedicated to learning and sharing about the different spheres of marketing - the 3 mentioned above, among many more niche marketing categories. There will be marketing professionals speaking, a case discussion, panels in Advertising and Brand Management, and coffee chats with diverse niche marketing people from all sorts of companies.

At the forum, students will have the opportunity to network among each other, with alumni and with industry professionals. We hope you can join us!

Intercollegiate Forum Directors

Jacqueline Allen

Jacqueline Allen is a sophomore at the NYU Stern School of Business pursuing a degree in Marketing with a minor in Business of Entertainment, Media and Technology. Jacqueline had been a Gold Member of Marketing Society all of her time at NYU and this is her first semester being on the Executive Board. A Marketing Conference has been a goal of the Marketing Society long before she arrived but she is happy to be a part of the team that is making it a reality. In her free time she enjoys going to Broadway and Off-Broadway Theatre around the city.

Cathy Lee (@optimisticlee)

Cathy is a senior at the NYU Stern School of Business pursuing a degree in Marketing and Information Systems. Cathy is passionate about making the world a better place through technology and design; her hobbies include photography and volunteering. She has been in Marketing Society since freshman fall, and has been on the e-board since the beginning of sophomore year, serving first as webmaster and then social impact chair. As one of the co-directors of this forum, she wants everyone to see and experience the different areas that make marketing such a broad and exciting field!

Katherine Corson, President of NYU Marketing Society

Katherine is a senior in Stern majoring in Marketing and Economics and minoring in Spanish. As President of The Marketing Society, Katherine leads 13 board members across the Professional Development, Communications, and Member Engagement teams. These teams help deliver on a holistic approach to club member development that includes professional, social and service events. She also orchestrates a speaker series across all areas of marketing to address 40 attendees at weekly club meetings. Prior to serving as President, Katherine served as Vice President and Membership Manager. Katherine also serves as Co-Chair for the 2nd Annual Undergraduate Stern Women in Business Conference and previously served as the Marketing Chair for the 1st Annual USWIB Conference and as the Community Service Chair for USWIB. Her sophomore spring she studied abroad in Madrid where she earned a superior certification in Spanish for Business. Katherine has also held internships at American Express in marketing and at AXA Equitable in product management. Katherine will be joining Accenture to pursue a career in management consulting after graduation and has a strong interest in emerging Latin American markets. In her free time, Katherine enjoys visiting quintessential New York food hot spots, watching Mad Men, and baking cake pops.
