Economics of Global Business
The Stern undergraduate core course in international economics and macroeconomics.  The course starts with the rudiments of macroeconomics in an international context using an investment saving identity with the current account.  It goes on to develop trade theory in order to show the gains from trade and the costs of trade barriers.

Spring 2008

Monetary Policy and Banking
A Stern undergraduate elective course on macroeconomic monetary policy, banking and bank regulation and the role of central banks.  The course draws on both American and international examples and both historical and current situations.

The Global Economy
The MBA core course in macroeconomics and international economics.  The course addresses the principles of monetary and fiscal policy and the issues raised by government debt and current account deficits. The importance of free trade, the gains and consequences of trade are also discussed as well as trade policies or the things that countries do to restrain trade.

Spring 2007

Monetary Policy, Banks and Central Banks
An MBA elective on macroeconomic monetary policy and regulation of financial institutions. The role of central banks and of bank regulators historically is developed and used to understand current conditions.  The course addresses the connection between macroeconomic and prudential concerns of policy makers.
