The Stern Private Equity Club’s objective is to educate and prepare students for careers in private equity and venture capital. This goal is attained through a host of activities, such as education workshops, résumé critique, mock interviews, panels and speakers' series, alumni mixers and networking events, and conferences. We co-host a Conference on-campus with the GFA in the Fall, and we host a Symposium off-campus with leading professionals in the industry in the Spring.

The Stern School of Business has an outstanding reputation as one of the world’s finest finance academic institutions and has an extensive alumni network of successful professionals who have achieved extraordinary success in private equity and venture capital. SPEC facilitates the link between students, alumni and recruiters in the industry. Specifically, for current students, SPEC provides access to alumni and other resources that educate and assist them in the job-search process. For alumni, the Club provides a forum to network with industry professionals and access for continuing education. For recruiters, SPEC coordinates targeted recruiting activities and coordinates with the efforts of the Stern Office of Career Development.
