Biography
John Handley has joined the New York University Stern School of Business as a Visiting Associate Professor of Finance during Fall 2009. Professor Handley's research interest is in corporate finance, derivative security pricing and corporate finance applications of derivative security pricing. He has published papers in various business journals including: Accounting and Finance, Australian Journal of Management, Economic Record, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial Engineering, Journal of Futures Markets and Review of Derivatives Research. He is also co-author of a case study published in the Harvard Business School Case Collection.
Professor Handley is currently an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Prior to joining Melbourne in 1993, he spent three years with an international accounting firm (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) and five years in the corporate finance team of an international investment bank (now UBS). He holds Bachelor degrees in Commerce and Mathematics from the University of Newcastle and a Masters degree in Commerce (Hons) and a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Melbourne
