I'm a Masters student at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University
majoring in Information Systems and a focus in Finance. I also hold a B.E in Computer Science from
Visvesvaraya Technological University in India. I've worked as a Senior Associate at
PriceWaterhouseCoopers, New York, over the summer and as a Senior Engineer at Vmware in Palo Alto,
California, prior to my Masters. As part of my inter-disciplinary Masters program, I have had multiple
interactions with the Finance department at Stern taking over half my courses here. I've also held
multiple Teaching Assistant positions for the MBA as well as the MS in Risk Management programs. I
have also worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Research Computing at Stern assisting the
Volatility Lab in systemic risk analysis and also as a Research Assistant in the Information Systems group.
My research interests are broad and cover Corporate Finance, International Macro-Finance and
Systemic Risk. I chose Stern for the top-notch faculty and research. In my interactions with the faculty,
the open door policy and their willingness to collaborate and co-create set itself apart from other
schools. Besides, the advantage of living in the best city in the world and having immediate Institutional
access in NYC made NYU Stern my top choice.
