The mission of SWIB's alumnae connection is to foster communication between our distinguished alums and current students through various events.

Dearest SWIB Alumnae,
We are really excited to be launching the SWIB
Mentoring program this year to help bridge the gap between the wonderful alumnae
and current women of the Stern community. In our inaugural year of the program,
we are looking to you to volunteer to become a mentor to
a current MBA student to help give them a better understanding of the industry
and provide a source for your Mentee to ask candid questions.
Why
should I become a Mentor?:
It wasn't too long ago that you graduated and we are sure you all remember
going through the job search process - it isn't easy (especially in this
market)! Having someone to talk to who is currently working in the industry,
but you can ask candid questions to, is very helpful. Also, it is a great way
for you to give back to and stay involved with the Stern
community.
What will be required of me?: At minimum,
the current student will be able to contact you via email or phone (whatever is
preferred by you) once a month to learn more about the industry and current
events/trends effecting the industry and to ask advice. However, the program is
what the Mentor and
Mentee make out of it.
How do I sign up?: Please
email swibalumni09@gmail.com to sign up for the program. Please
send us: Current company: Industry: Current role: Contact
email: Contact phone number: Once we have the pairings, we will contact
you for details about a kick-off event and with the name of your Mentee and a
bio.
If you have any questions, please contact Christina Mahna, VP of
Alumnae Relations at cm670@stern.nyu.edu or
Lauren Mermel, AVP of Alumnae Relations, at lauren.mermel@stern.nyu.edu.
Thank you in advance for
your help, we are looking forward to a great start to the
program!
Christina and Lauren
