Sonia Olivo

Sonia Olivo is a born and bred New Yorker, growing up on the Lower
East Side. She left the big city when she was 14 to attend Deerfield Academy
in Deerfield Massachusetts. She moved on to Philadelphia, where she studied
at the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Communications. After graduating
in 2004 she went to work at Universal McCann, a media agency in the city
as a media buyer. Throughout her four years in media, her client roster
consisted of Wendy's International, Capital One Financial, Sharp Electronics,
Abbott Laboratories and Avon. At Stern, she is specializing in Marketing
and Finance. Sonia spent this summer at Citi, working in their marketing
department of their Global Credit Cards division.
Sonia attended all SWIB
sponsored events as a prospective student and feels the club was the deciding
factor in her choice to come to Stern. She is looking forward, in her
second year as VP External Relations, to continuing to strengthen the
SWIB brand outside of Stern.
