The Red Sea at Sharm el Sheik has some excellent diving and some that is below average by carrebean standards. The diving at Ras Mahomed and the Tiran Straits is world class although not as good as Palau. On the other hand, the local dive sights are overcrowded and below average. The shore accomodations are very good to excellent. The water in June was cold so most divers used heavy wet suits.
