Professor Damodaran: Macroeconomic Risks and Their Place in Valuation

Aswath Damodarn is a Professor of Finance at the NYU Stern School of Business and a leading authority on valuation. He will speak about the importance of integrating macroeconomic risks into valuations and CAPM.

Asani Sarkar: Roundtable Discussion

Asani Sarkar is the Assistant Vice President in The Federal Reserve's Money and Payment Studies Function. He will discuss the Fed's role in the sphere of financial markets, its effect on international finance, and his particular research on global financialregulations.





Jose Campa: Outlook on European Economy

Jose Campa is the current Deputy Finance Minister of Spain. He will be speaking about his opinion of the current European economic environment, and comment on its outlook.






Professor Seamans: Game Theory

Ever wonder why there is no NFL team in Los Angeles? Or why some cities have really good cable service but other cities have bad service? Or why some restaurants have long lines but other restaurants with similar quality food have no customers and go out of business? Game theory provides frameworks to help explain and understand these type of phenomena. Professor Robert Seamans will present some of his and other Stern faculty research that uses game theory to help understand these questions.



Jason Colavita - Evercore Managing Directror & TMT Sector Head: Investment Strategist Series

With over 15 years of experience in the business, Jason will share his valuable insights on the role of traders, his perspective on typical day-to-day operations and his outlook on the technology sector. He will also spend some time discussing Evercore's Institutional Equities team, how it differs from other teams on the Street and the opportunities they offer.





Professor David Backus, Heinz Riehl Professor of Finance and Economics: International Capital Flows

We will be discuss international capital flows in relation to population and social demographics, one of Professor Backus' fortes. He wants your input and discussion on much of the data he has gathered, so be sure to come with plenty of questions and an open mind. Furthermore, Professor Backus has been at Stern for over twenty years, making him the perfect resource when it comes to classes, professors, and questions with regards to life in academia.

Prof. Sargent will discuss elements of his Nobel prize winning work, and how it links to current events unfolding in the world today - with a focus on the European sovereign debt crisis. His presentation will also expand on an article he authored in the Wall Street Journal entitled "An American History Lesson for Europe"

GMAT Test Change Workshop

This June, the GMAT will be adding an Integrated Reasoning Section to the test and this workshop will cover everything you will need to know about the changes. The workshop will be hosted by Kaplan's Assistant Director of GMAT Products, Andrew Mitchell, who will not only guide you through the test change but also give great insight into the B-school experience as he is a MBA grad from Chicago Booth. Kaplan will be providing catering for the event so come hungry and they will also be raffling off a Free GMAT course.
