I am an international student from India, currently pursuing Masters in information systems. Information Systems program at NYU gave me an opportunity to take up 60% of my courses at Stern business school. I have taken courses such as IT & Corporate Strategy, Data Mining, Foundations of Finance, Accounting, Web and Mobile Applications, FInancial Info Systems and Global Economy, all at Stern. I have 3+ years of work experience in application design and development using Java, C# and PHP technologies. I also have experience designing and developing a large and complex oracle database. I worked across multiple industries such as Finance, Music entertainment, Telecom and Internet dating. Given my work experience in technology and my course work at NYU, I strongly believe I can take an innovative approach to tackle technology related business problems.
Designed and developed risk reporting application for the MBS - traders and risk managers. I had an opportunity to work on the Citi trading floor for a brief period.
Involved in website maintenance of JWed, which is the second most popular dating website for Jewish community with over 50,000 active users. It has been a very exciting real time web development experience in PHP.
Worked with an institute called Columbia Institute for Tele-Information, where research was done on topics related to Management in Information Technologies, Telecom, and other industries.
Project 1: Designed and developed large databases and web applications for City of London Telecom. Project 2: Maintained and Enhanced existing systems of Warner Music Group.
