Key Features
-
A unique Process Analysis analysis module that can be used to model up
to 25 products with multiple labor types, up to 35 workcenters, and 30
process steps. Provides utilization statistics, queue statistics, flowtime
distributions, and trace of queues at workcenters.
-
Waiting Line Analysis module permits simulation using empirical distributions,
allows the use of alternate queue disciplines, modeling of different line
joining rules, and can run 5 scenarios simultaneously. This module incorporates
a variety of problem solving techniques. A combination of analytical, approximation,
and simulation methods is automatically selected by the program based on
the problem parameters input by the user.
-
Forecasting module includes 9 techniques (multiple regression and Winter's
method inclusive), allows for automatic plotting of data and results, and
optimization of forecast parameters.
-
Project Management module includes PERT, CPM, crashing using Linear Programming,
and simulation that produces activity criticality indices and the project
completion time distribution.
-
Independent Demand Inventory systems module covers determinsitic and stochastic
models in detail, automatic sensitivity analysis and permits what if analysis.
-
MRP module covers BOM creation, six lot sizing rules, expediting, and permits
a variety of sensitivity analysis.
-
Aggregate planning module models up to 24 time periods, three products,
safety stock, target ending inventory, second shift option, shift minimums
and maximums, hiring and layoff costs, overtime, undertime, setup costs
and set up as well as run time in the formulation.
-
Quality Management module includes Control Charts (mean, range,
standard deviation, p, np, c, and u charts) and Acceptance Sampling.
-
The package includes two `on disk' Integrated cases, one a service based
case entitled United Bank Branch Consolidation and one a manufacturing
case named Ice Queen Snow Blowers. These cases require the use of all modules.
Other cases that are included require the use of a single module.
-
Included on the CD are data sets from classic cases as well as data sets
for `integrated' and specific module cases.
-
Data files for most problems in leading textbooks are also available.
-
Saves and Reads Excel data files directly.
-
Windows based with quality graphics built in and single window problem
formulation.
-
Online help and technical manuals supplied on disk.
-
Optimum seeking built in wherever appropriate.
-
Net-workable.
