Biography
James Vickery joined New York University Stern School of Business as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Finance in September 2007.

In addition to teaching at Stern, Mr. Vickery is a research economist in the Financial Intermediation division of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. His research and policy work focuses on topics relating to banking, mortgage finance and securitization. A separate line of research studies the provision of insurance to households in developing countries. Prior to graduate school he was an economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia.

Professor Vickery holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of New South Wales, Australia, from which he earned First Class Honors and a University Medal.
