Kunaal A. Kanagal
Kunaal will be matriculating into Stern's Ph.D. Finance program after completing his B.A. in Applied & Computational Mathematics and B.A. in Economics from the University of Southern California in May 2011. His research interests are financial econometrics, market microstructure, valuation and corporate finance. He was awarded the Trustee Scholarship to USC and has served as a teaching assistant for two valuation courses while contributing to the research efforts of John Matsusaka on a project involving public debt and Larry Harris on a project involving market efficiency between "value" and "growth" stocks in equity markets. He chose to come to Stern because of the diversity and strength of faculty research within the finance group.
Kunaal is of Indian origin but grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. He is 22 years old and enjoys ice hockey, track cycling, and guitar outside of his studies.
