Wei Xiang

Wei Xiang was born in Chongqing, southern part of China. He earned both the Bachelor Degree in Finance and Economics and Master Degree in Economics from Tsinghua University in Beijing. He is attending NYU Stern Finance PhD program in Fall 2014. He mainly grew his research interests through his participation as research assistant in several projects when studying in Tsinghua University and when visiting HKUST and Cornell University. His initial research interests lie in financial institutions and financial contracting in corporate finance. He was attracted by Stern because it provides opportunities to collaborate with top researchers in almost all fields in finance. Besides, Wei likes to play tennis and telecontrolled aircraft.
