It's been a rough couple of months. I've been busy getting a dissertation going while at the same time landing a summer internship and preparing to teach in the fall. But I plan to make a concerted effort to revive this blog.

So for my first entry in a long while I point out how cool and hip I am. That's right. I'm ahead of the curve in fashion. Case in point: orange is the latest hot color.

"I hate orange. I look terrible in orange. They're only making orange clothes and it's all your fault." That's my mother lamenting to me on a recent trip to the mall....

Orange has also blended with copper to create a truly unique metallic that is on the rise, especially in the automotive industry. Orange, or any other color for that matter, never really goes away—instead it morphs and transforms.

Orange has always been one of my favorite colors. I launched this blog in August of 2005 with orange in mind. It seems professional designers are copying my style.

Update: So as it turns out, that article was from 2004. But I came across it this year, well after I picked orange. Either way, I listed orange and light blue as my favorite colors when I was in second grade. My attitudes have not changed.
