Bios and Acknowledgements
Professor Aswath Damodaran is on the finance faculty at the Stern School of Business at New York University, where he teaches corporate finance and equity valuation. He is the author of several widely used and acclaimed academic and practitioner texts on valuation, corporate finance, and investment management. He has published in the leading journals of finance, including Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, and Review of Financial Studies. Professor Damodaran is widely quoted in the popular press on the subject of valuation, and was profiled in Business Week as one of the top 12 U.S.business school professors. Prior to NYU, he was at the University of California, Berkeley. He teaches in a wide variety of executive programs for NYU and for many well-known companies, all over the world. He has won many teaching awards.Professor Damodaran got his MBA and PhD degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles, a BCom in Accounting from Madras University, and a Masters’ degree in management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Professor Anant Sundaram is on the finance faculty at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where he teaches corporate valuation. He is an expert in valuation, M&A, corporate governance, and on assessing the financial impact of climate change on firms. He has published in the areas of law, finance, and management, including in Law and Contemporary Problems, Journal of Financial Economics, Academy of Management Review, Journal of International Business Studies, and Organization Science, as well as in the popular press. He is the author of a widely-used textbook on international business, and dozens of valuation cases. Professor Sundaram has created numerous MBA and executive education courses (including the first MBA course on climate change) and company-specific as well as Tuck-related executive programs all over the world. He has won over a dozen teaching awards. He has also taught at the University of Michigan and at the Thunderbird School of Management. He has made over one hundred appearances in leading media outlets on issues of valuation, corporate governance, M&A, and climate change.
Professor Sundaram got his PhD from Yale University, an MS from Madras University, and a Masters’ degree in management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. (See here for Sundaram’s detailed bio).

Xiandong Ren is currently pursuing his Masters’ degree in Computer Science at Dartmouth College, and will graduate in 2011. He is from Hangzhou, near Shanghai, China. He has a Bachelors’ in Software Engineering from Tianjin University, a world-class university located in Tianjin. He has accepted an offer to work with a well-known US firm in the software industry, and hopes to help write the world’s best code.
